Terror at Auschwitz
After Nazi Germany conquered Poland in 1939, Auschwitz, Poland was literally rapped in barbed-wired fences and many German troops surrounded Poland. This was the largest concentration camp ever set up by the Nazi regime. All prisoners were forced to work every day no matter what. There were two main concentration camps in Auschwitz: Auschwitz I and Auschwitz II. In Auschwitz I, was built in May 1940 in an abandoned Polish army artillery barracks. Auschwitz II, also known as Auschwitz-Birkenau, began in October 1941 and this camp had the largest number of prisoner population (prisoners held captive). Auschwitz II played a central role to killing the races that Hitler disliked. Auschwitz was the main area where Nazi Germany set up concentration camps. There are more camps in Auschwitz, so here is the link.
